timqua tìm quà — finding gifts

Terms

What this is

timqua keeps a list of people you are buying gifts for, each with a budget, and once a day checks a public Etsy search at that budget to see whether the answer has got worse. It is free. There is no paid tier, nothing to subscribe to, and no advertising. It is not a shop and takes no payment of any kind — every purchase happens on Etsy, between you and the seller.

The figures are a snapshot, not advice

Counts and prices are what a public Etsy search returned at the moment it was made. They can be stale, a listing can sell between a check and your click, and Etsy can change what its search returns at any time. How this watches sets out exactly what is asked and what is not.

Nothing here is a recommendation and nothing is a valuation. No warranty is given that any figure is accurate, current, or fit for any purpose, and no liability is accepted for a purchase made, delayed or missed on the strength of one.

Your account and your list

Availability

This is a small service run by one developer. It may be unavailable, may miss a daily check, and may be discontinued. If it is discontinued you will be told at the address on the account and the stored data will be deleted. No uptime is promised, and a missed warning is not compensable — treat it as a prompt, never as a guarantee that somebody is covered.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to reach another person’s plan, disrupt the service, or use it in a way that breaches Etsy’s own terms. Accounts doing any of these may be closed without notice.

Etsy

timqua uses the Etsy Open API under Etsy’s API Terms of Use, reading public listing data only. It is an independent application: not made by Etsy, not endorsed by Etsy, not certified by Etsy, and not affiliated with Etsy. Listings, prices, sellers and purchases are governed by Etsy’s terms, not by these. Access to Etsy data may be changed or withdrawn by Etsy at any time, which would stop this service working.

Changes

These terms may change. Material changes will be sent to the address on the account. Continuing to use the service after a change is acceptance of it.
